Meet the Artist
Gary B Hunter is a 20th century Artist and Musician.
Born 1957 in Leeds, England, Hunter began painting at an early age. This artistic ability became evident by age of five. However at the age of seven, fortune turned and his talent was not pursued until he entered his early twenties.
In his early twenties, after receiving a gift of oil paints and canvas, Hunter began to teach himself how to paint. Since then, and with experience of almost forty years, Hunter’s output has been nothing short of prolific. His work has been on exhibition, in London and in every major city in England, as well as in towns and villages, these showings being on public view for decades. How so?
Inns and public houses are a rich part of Britain’s heritage. Pub signs are an illustrated guide to both our history and our cultural heritage. As well as individual artistry, Hunter’s signs have fascinating stories behind the origins of some of their peculiar names. As you will see here, Hunter has played a large part in telling these stories through his long association with the breweries large and small of Britain.
Hunter is an accomplished artist specialising in portraits, seascapes, landscapes, wildlife as well as different transportation scenes. He is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, which adds a sense of dimension and depth to his work, which means that every time you look at his beautiful paintings, you will discover something new every time.
His works of art are now being sought after as far off as the United States and can be found on numerous different webpages. His individually hand crafted pub pictorials are fast becoming collectors items and resold worldwide.
